Lead and Succeed in the New Age of Health Information Management and Technology

New technologies and regulations are profoundly changing the roles and education requirements of health information professionals. The UW Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and Technology (HIMT) provides the HIM and health IT skills you need to qualify for jobs in today’s data-driven healthcare environments. It is a bachelor’s degree completion program, designed specifically for people who already have 45-60+ college credits and want to complete their degree.

The UW Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Information Management and Technology is an option for prospective students who currently hold a bachelor’s degree, in any discipline, and are seeking entry to the field or want to advance their current careers in health information management. The certificate is 24 credits.

Both the HIMT bachelor’s degree and certificate are CAHIIM-accredited, qualifying you to sit for industry credentialing exams such as the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
