Discussing the Importance of IT Management

The role of information technology teams has shifted. Between digital transformation and the virtualization of today’s workforce, IT is no longer seen as a siloed department, but a strategic asset. However, while the role of the IT professional has evolved, hiring criteria for these critical positions has largely remained the same. Technical skills are often prioritized over business savvy, perpetuating the myth that IT leaders must be technologists first and leaders second.

Join the conversation on Wednesday, March 3 from 8 – 9 a.m.

Specific topics include:

  • The value of IT management, leadership and the skills required for success
  • Diversity and inclusion in the information technology field
  • Professional development advice and opportunities for IT leadership
