Beginning in Fall 2026, the Universities of Wisconsin (UW) Associate of Arts & Sciences (AAS) program will refine its mission to focus on serving current UW students and expanding access to its high‑quality courses.

All AAS online courses will continue to be offered. Starting Fall 2026, the program will pause admission of new students seeking the associate degree. Current degree-seeking students can confidently continue their studies and complete their AAS degrees as planned and with full support. In addition, UW students across the Universities of Wisconsin can continue to enroll in the program’s online courses to fulfill general education and degree requirements at their home campuses. These courses will also remain available to eligible high school students—including those in the Early College Credit Program (ECCP)—who wish to earn college credit and explore university‑level learning.
