Collaborative Student Grant / Scholarship Application

As a degree-seeking student in a semester-based collaborative program, you are eligible to apply for a UW Online Collaboratives (formerly known as UW Extended Campus) grant or scholarship. Eligibility requirements vary based on the grant or scholarship. Please note that applying for a grant or scholarship does not guarantee you will receive one as you may not meet all the criteria or have reached the maximum allowable amount as a student. Grants and scholarships do not need to be paid back and are available as funding allows.

Who can apply for collaborative grants and scholarships?

  • The applicant must be currently enrolled as a degree-seeking student in a semester-based collaborative program OR be someone who withdrew from their semester-based collaborative program and wish to enroll again but cannot due to a balance owed to the university.
  • The applicant must have a current year FAFSA on file based on their home institution’s policies.
  • The applicant must have need as determined by their FAFSA.
  • At minimum, the applicant must have accepted all their available Federal Direct Subsidized Loan (undergraduate students only).

While we will assist you as best we can, please connect with your home institution to see what additional resources are available.

The Technology Purchase Program is available to students who need to purchase a laptop or other forms of technology (i.e. webcam) to be successful in their program. Students must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student in a semester-based collaborative program, have already accepted their Federal Direct Subsidized Loan, and have unmet need that is more than or equal to their request.
  • Students must initially provide documentation (a screenshot or image with price included) of the technology in which they are interested in purchasing so that an amount up to $1,250 can be added to the student’s financial aid offer.
    • Please go here to discover student discounts for technology.
  • Utilizing the refund of the funds, students will then purchase their technology. Applicants must provide a receipt of their purchase within 14 days to the Financial Aid Office.
  • A student can receive funds from the Technology Purchase Program only once in their UW Extended Campus career.
