Sylvia Rose Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship has been set up in memory of Sylvia N. Rose, a former Director of the UW Independent Learning program and a devoted advocate of lifelong learning. The intent of this scholarship is to assist students with demonstrated financial need with their tuition. As a student participating in or seeking to participate in one of these programs supported by UW Online Collaboratives, you are eligible to apply for the Sylvia Rose Memorial Scholarship.

  • UW Independent Learning program
  • Competency-based Associate of Arts and Sciences degree (UW Flexible Option)
  • Semester-based Associate of Arts and Sciences degree

Three Scholarships, one award in each program, are awarded annually in the fall for an amount up to $700 per scholarship. Please note that applying for the scholarship does not guarantee you will receive one.
