By determining the leading causes of train derailment with this project and predicting possible future derailments, rail companies can use this to enhance their train operations and improve their costly disruptions. The objective of this project was to identify patterns in train derailments by providing visuals like heatmaps. Explore the relationships between derailments and contributing factors by performing statistical analysis. Map high-risk areas in the US with heat maps. Create predictive models to determine the likelihood of derailments. And finally, State data-driven solutions to help prevent future train derailments.
