Assessing and Managing Multi-Use areas: ASMP for Big Dry Creek Segment 1
Program: Biodiversity Conservation & Management Master's Degree
Host Company: City of Westminster
Location: Westminster, Colorado (onsite)
Student: Lucas Koch
The goal is to provide a repeatable framework to assess different open spaces conservation status and feasibility in the future by building an Area Specific Management Plan (ASMP) for one segment of the Big Dry Creek Trail system. This ASMP will look at legal/policy constraints, ecological sensitivities, and recreational pressures. It will include GIS analysis and a scoring matrix for assessing the zones’ restoration priorities.
