Drinking water throughout the world has become increasingly more polluted. Many of the disease and famine throughout the world are largely due to poor water conditions. Nitrate, the most common water contaminate, has been on the rise for decades and Wisconsin is no exception.
Using information from various sources and formats, machine learning and statistical methods were used to explore and understand the factors that play a role in groundwater resources getting contaminated by nitrate. The Center For Watershed Science and Education hopes to use this information to achieve our goals of raising awareness about the harmful effects of Nitrate as well as the ways that we can prevent future water pollution in the future.
