A business plan for a year-round strawberry farm that utilizes automation and data science to maximize yields while minimizing costs. The objectives for the project were the following:
- Conduct market analysis to identify demand trends, pricing structures, and consumer preferences for non-seasonal strawberries pricing.
- Formulate a plan for growing strawberries year-round with time estimates for each stage of plant growth.
- Determine required greenhouse space, control conditions, methods of control, and corresponding costs for growing one crop of strawberries with an estimated yield of 30 pounds.
- Identify significant data needed for optimizing growth through real-time monitoring and decision-making.
- Determine potential solutions to reduce the hours of labor needed.
