The objective of the project was to make a recommendation system for the company’s eCommerce platform using historical sales data containing customer and product codes, product descriptions, part numbers, and other distinguishing characteristics. A hybrid recommender was developed to use content-based filtering and collaborative filtering in a cascaded approach to provide accurate and useful results to streamline a customer’s experience of the website.
