Data Quality within Collibra

My Capstone project was focused on strengthening data quality management and data governance processes within Collibra Data Quality (DQ) and Data Intelligence Platform (DIP). Although initial tasks shifted due to communication and access issues, the core objectives were met by managing troubleshooting efforts, resolving platform access issues and job failures, by collaborating directly with system administrators and co-workers when my site supervisor was unresponsive.

Early milestones included completing Collibra University’s “Getting Started” modules, securing access to Collibra and participating in mentorship sessions to gain proficiency in navigation. I developed and tested both SQL-based and adaptive data quality rules across multiple datasets. I conducted several DQ jobs and reviewed scorecards for data quality.

While two originally planned deliverables, assisting the EDG Team with dashboard creation and providing an integration walkthrough, could not be completed, all other major deliverables were achieved, including creating data quality rules and providing training guides for the navigation of and rule creation within Collibra Data Quality.
