For this capstone project I took part in leading the EHR Your Way (EHRYW) implementation at my current employer, Harborview Center, a long-term psychiatric care facility located in Long Beach, CA.  Harborview currently operates on a hybrid record keeping system, using mostly paper records and an electronic medication administration record (MAR). To help organize this extensive project, I developed 5 phases or milestones to follow. These phases include 1) System Development, 2) System Review and Testing, 3) Data Transfer, 4) Training, and 5) Go-Live/Support. The initial timeline had a go-live date of November 2023, however due to unforeseen delays, the expected go-live date has shifted to January 2024.  I conducted this work remotely, with assistance from various on-site staff, EHRYW implementation team, and supervision from the Clinical Director.
