ADHD occurs in approximately 11% of adolescents with around 14% of boys and 8% of girls having a diagnosis. Girls are often undiagnosed because they present inattentive symptoms whereas boys are hyperactive. Girls are often misdiagnosed with anxiety, bipolar, depression, or personality disorder instead of ADHD. The objective of the project was to build a model to predict both an individual’s sex and their ADHD diagnosis using functional brain imaging data of children and adolescents and their socio-demographic, emotions, and parenting information.
NOTE: Model was optimal. It is not a good example of a successful project.
