Healthcare Data Conversions – a Comprehensive Review

My project was to create a comprehensive overview of healthcare data conversions, including a patient demographic conversion, appointments conversion, and a clinical data conversion from the perspective of a person who would manage and oversee the completion of these conversion projects. My main goal during this period was to create a resource for a new delivery coordinator to reference as they begin working and managing their own projects. When I started as a delivery coordinator at Focus Solutions, I often found myself wishing I had a resource when I had small questions about the process, steps, or tasks associated with each conversion. I would have to reach out to a peer for any question I had and so I hope this project can aid delivery coordinators in being more independent and confident in their knowledge of healthcare data conversions.

Health Information Management and Technology (HIMT) 490 is meant to give students experience in a healthcare-related organization and opportunities to use and practice the knowledge and skills obtained throughout their education. This course provides students like me with hands-on experience in our field to help lead them through the start of their career.
