HIM Policy Compliance for Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Accreditation in a Hospital

For my capstone experience, I had the opportunity to work onsite at CentraCare in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. Through direct observation and interaction with each HIM department, I developed a solid knowledge base of the day-to-day processes that support health information management across CentraCare. The goal of my capstone project was to use the knowledge gained from those observations and interactions within the HIM department to guide me in updating outdated HIM policies to ensure that CentraCare is compliant with Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Accreditation visits.
