This project examines the application of advanced HR analytics within a corporate setting to enhance strategic workforce planning and development at Elastic, a company specializing in enterprise search analytics. The primary goal was to develop a customized skills taxonomy linked to internal job profiles. A secondary objective was creating a prototype recommender system designed to align employees with potential career opportunities based on their existing roles and skills.
This project laid the groundwork for establishing clear and structured career paths, facilitating effective succession planning, and informing strategies for employee development and talent acquisition. By leveraging unstructured data from job postings and employing machine learning techniques, my analysis uncovers significant insights, such as the relationship between demanded skills and recruitment duration, and identifies optimal career pathways for employees.
