Mining Manufacturing Data for Titer Improvements
Program: Data Science Master's Degree

For my project, I studied an important drug produced by my company. This is one of the most effective biological treatments for individuals with Cron’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis. I have collected data from several different Contract Manufacturers as well as my plant’s manufacturing data relating to this drug. Dug deep into the process parameters and how they relate to an important property of the medicine called Titer. My aim through this project was to better understand Titer, identify potentially correlated variables, aim to improve titer, model and predict titer using validation.
“This has been a great experience that has improved my analytical and R skills. Through this work I have learned much about the process of making biological medicine. The work has potentially identified relationships which can help the company produce more medicine which in turn would help an expensive medicine become more affordable.”
