Near-Term Pharmacoeconomic Commercialization Planning for a Novel First-In-Class Antibiotic

Program: Applied Biotechnology Master's — Business Management
Host Company: MacOne Therapeutics
Location: Tempe, Arizona (remote)
Student: Isaiah Slemons

MacOne Therapeutics is attempting to develop a potentially novel class of antibiotics, and the objective of this capstone will be to supplement their scientific work with a near-term commercialization plan to carve a path forward in this challenging regulatory, poor-incentive wrought, market. The primary research question for this capstone is: “What are the value-unlocking activities and pharmacoeconomic considerations a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) must capitalize on to secure a licensing deal from, or be acquired by, a large pharmaceutical company for a first-in-class antibiotic?”
