Optimization Supply Chain Processes for Early Cancer Detection

Program: Applied Biotechnology Master's — Business Management
Host Company: Exact Sciences Corporation
Location: Madison, Wisconsin (remote)
Student: Allison Elise Koller

Supply chain plays a crucial role in ensuring the diagnostic kits at Exact Sciences through production, storage, and delivery efficiency. However, within the past few years many industries have faced challenges such as the pandemic outbreak, geopolitical tensions, and unforeseen threats. I will be focusing on how to optimize the supply chain processes to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of early cancer detection kits by exploring innovative solutions for inventory management, logistics, demand forecasting, and risk management in the context of biotechnology. I will also be investigating how advancements in technology, such as AI, can be leveraged to improve cost-effectiveness, productivity and safety.
