This case study utilizes price data from 1920 into modernity to identify asset allocations and investment methodologies which performed well even when it could be considered the worst time to be a long-term investor.  The main objectives of this study are to identify principles and asset allocations which have historically provided a means for savers to preserve their purchasing power and for investors to maximize their potential returns, despite picking perhaps the worst time to invest.
