Pathways to Graduation

Pathways is a program that plans an optimal path to graduation for the UW Masters of Data Science program. It takes into account a student’s strengths and weaknesses when choosing which courses to take each semester. It was built with the idea that students would fill out surveys about each course they completed. These surveys would be aggregated and used to provide a student’s perspective on how much statistical knowledge, programming required, reading required, writing required, quiz, test difficulty, and assignment difficulty there is for each course. It also incorporates course prerequisites, number of courses to take each semester, and courses not offered in the summer as additional constraints.
