Capstone Projects

Post-Intervention Improvements in HIV Adherence

Program: Health Information Management Technology Bachelor's Completion
Host Company: FidelisCare-Centene
Location: Long Island City, New York (hybrid)
Student: Yvonne Jones

The primary goal of this project is to evaluate the effectiveness of HIV adherence outreach interventions by analyzing their impact on medication and lab adherence among previously reached members living with HIV. This project aims to quantify the impact of these interventions and provide actionable insights that can enhance future outreach efforts, ultimately leading to better health outcomes for individuals living with HIV.

To achieve this, I will analyze data from adherence outreaches conducted in 2024, focusing on the effectiveness of these interventions in improving medication and lab adherence. The project will involve tracking and reporting key metrics, conducting retrospective data analysis, and generating outcome reports.

My capstone project at FidelisCare allowed me to gain invaluable hands-on experience in healthcare data management and analytics. It allowed me to directly apply the skills I learned throughout the HIMT program to analyze real-world data trends, improve medication adherence, and enhance outreach strategies. This project not only deepened my understanding of healthcare information management but also showed me how impactful data-driven decision-making can be in improving member outcomes. Working with claims data, outreach logs, and lab adherence metrics prepared me for tackling complex healthcare challenges and provided me with skills that are immediately applicable to my career. This experience has solidified my interest in healthcare analytics and given me the confidence to pursue advanced roles.
