Practical Application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) for Asset Management Reporting and Data Analysis

Program: Data Science Master's Degree
Location: Not Specified (remote)
Student: Scott Shogren

This project explores Natural Language Processing (NLP), a type of Artificial Intelligence that allows computers to comprehend human language, both written and spoken. With NLP, the need for additional languages or skills is eliminated, which streamlines data interaction. This project focuses on the benefits of NLP in Asset Management within the Financial Industry, where it can significantly improve data analysis and reporting by allowing users to explore and analyze data more efficiently without requiring extensive data analysis skills. NLP offers the potential to reduce the time and effort needed to analyze vast amounts of data and eliminate human errors and inconsistencies, leading to more accurate and reliable data analysis. Ultimately, by leveraging NLP technology, Asset Management organizations can enhance their data analysis capabilities, leading to better decision-making and improved business outcomes.
