Predicting the Progression of Pulmonary Fibrosis with Deep Learning (A Case Study)

The contents of this case study evaluate the use of deep learning neural networks to predict a linear progression of decline in lung function in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The data and concept came from an open data science competition hosted by Kaggle and the Open Source Imaging Consortium, and the secondary objective was to evaluate the process of participating in such a competition.
