The project focused on the procedures, quality, statistics, and budget within the Release of Medical Information Department, specifically the ‘disability pod’.  This ‘pod’ specializes in disability insurance and creating reports that provide medical information to support the disability claim.  My situation may have been a little different than others because I am currently employed in this department so information could be gathered during my shift, from other staff members, and I knew the resources more than someone just stepping into this department.  Through evaluating, studying, and focusing on different aspects that I normally do not see every day it made me understand the importance of schooling and management.
