My project addresses the lack of sustainability and relevant concepts in our current education system, as well as the need for it in the Racine community. Considering primary school-aged children as the focus group, there are feasible strategies that can be adopted at SC Johnson Elementary School, that don’t involve directly changing state designated curriculum standards.  My project proposes the implementation of 4 new green initiatives that will have positive effects on society, economy, and the environment, while encouraging sustainable practices and positive relationships within the community.
