The objective for this project was to understand the history of the winter recreation and tourism industry in the Midwest. More specifically, the objective is to understand how climate change has and will continue to effect this industry. Then using sustainability analysis and systems thinking recommendations were developed for the stakeholders involved. These recommendations are actions that can be taken to preserve and prolong winter recreation and tourism in the Midwest, and along with that, preserve the cultures and communities that make up the Midwest region.
