My project explored revenue forecasting in the retail industry.  It compared multiple different modeling techniques and unstructured data from earning calls and news stories for the past 10 years. It found that earnings calls were not a good source of information for forecasting but News stories had some value. Also, LASSO regressions were the best starting point for retail organizations looking to forecast revenue.
