Village of Greendale Health Department Field Work

Created a process to give seniors in the community greater access to fresh produce during the summer growing months. Coordinated with organizers and growers at local community garden to donate excess produce to the Greendale Senior Social Club. Involved planning and implementing the logistics of the process, creating signage and other communications, surveying both parties, tracking and logging produce donated, and evaluating all results. Facilitated cooking demonstration toward the end of growing season for Social Club members featuring recipes that utilize fresh garden vegetables. During the cooking demo we did trivia, food sampling, and a door prizes at the end.
