This case study looked at the effect of weather on electricity real-time pricing with a focus on the weather outliers, especially cold weather. Adjusting supply or demand requires identifying the weather coefficients, significance, and inter-relationships. Weather features provide insight into the electricity price models so the suppliers and the users can adjust based on the predicted weather.
