The curriculum prepares you to sit for the DMI CDMP exam upon completion of the certificate program and earn these internationally respected credentials. DMI Membership, access to their content and the CDMP exam fee are included in tuition.

The UW Digital Marketing Analytics Graduate Certificate is approved by the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Admission information
Applicants must have:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Official transcript with overall undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- A current resume
For students who do not meet the GPA requirements, a provisional admission may be made based on additional information, such as a statement of purpose and/ or interview with the applicant.
Application deadlines
Your online application and all required materials must be submitted to your preferred home campus generally 2-4 weeks prior to the date classes start (this varies by campus) to be considered for admission.
Starting your application early will help ensure you have plenty of time to gather required materials (such as transcripts), transfer credits, and complete the University of Wisconsin System Online Admission Application.

How to Apply
Step 1: Decide which home campus you’d like to apply to. Campus partners for the UW Digital Marketing Analytics Graduate Certificate are UW-La Crosse* and UW-Parkside.
*If choosing UW-La Crosse as your home campus, please review the UW-La Crosse application process page for additional details.
Step 2: Visit the University of Wisconsin System Online Admission Application, login or create an account, and apply to the home campus of your choice. See campus specific guidelines below.
UW-La Crosse
- Apply as a “Graduate Applicant”.
- Select “Yes” when asked “Are you applying as a degree-seeking student?”, and that you would like to earn a “Graduate Degree”.
- Select “UW-La Crosse” as the campus.
- Choose “Digital Marketing Analytics Certificate-Collaborative” for program.

UW-Parkside
- Apply as a “Graduate Non-Degree Applicant”.
- Select “No” when asked “Are you applying as a degree-seeking student”, and that you plan to take “Graduate” classes.
- Select “UW-Parkside” as the campus.
- Choose “Digital Marketing Analytics” for program.
No application fee. Skip the application fee section (not required for the certificate).
This program is not eligible for financial aid through UW-Parkside.
Step 3: Send your resume and arrange to have your official college transcripts (from each institution you attended) sent to the graduate student admission office of the home campus to which you applied.
International Guidelines
This program welcomes online students from around the world. Online students do not qualify for an F-1 Student Visa to travel to the U.S., but instead can participate in our online courses remotely. If your native language is not English and/or you attended school outside of the U.S., you will likely need to provide proof of English language proficiency and an official translation or evaluation of academic transcripts. Requirements will vary based on a student’s academic history and home campus policies. For guidance about these requirements and how they apply to your specific situation, contact your preferred home campus admissions office.

3 Courses. 9 Credits. 100% Online.
The UW Digital Marketing Analytics Graduate Certificate curriculum prepares students to learn digital marketing research practices, digital data collection and management, data analytics and decision-making tools and techniques, and digital marketing technologies.
In addition, the Digital Marketing Institute’s (DMI) Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) content is included within the curriculum of this certificate. Upon completion of the certificate, graduates can sit for the CDMP exam to earn an additional DMI certification as well as the AMA Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) credential. The exam fee is included in the tuition, as well as a DMI membership and access to DMI content.
Three courses are required for completion of the certificate. There are no electives. Students must earn a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA in certificate coursework. Certificate courses are offered in fall, spring and summer semesters.

Program Outcomes
Students completing the UW Digital Marketing Analytics graduate certificate will be able to:
- Collect, analyze and leverage customer data for digital marketing strategies.
- Utilize technology tools to collect, analyze and visually present campaign data to facilitate improvement of digital marketing strategy.
- Build and optimize automation sequences of the buyer journey.
- Conduct market research to inform strategic position and identify appropriate target markets.
- Interpret campaign data and metrics to measure success and guide operational and strategic decisions.
- Be prepared to sit for the DMI CDMP exam
Tuition is a flat fee of $725 per credit whether you live in Wisconsin or out of state. It also includes DMI membership, access to their content and the cost to sit for the DMI exam to earn the CDMP and PCM credentials as part of the UW Digital Marketing Analytics Graduate Certificate.
There are no additional course or program fees, however, textbooks are purchased separately and are not included in tuition. You will not pay segregated fees (fees in addition to tuition that cover the cost of student-organized activities, facility maintenance, and operations) and you will not be charged a technology fee. If software or special technology is required in one of your courses, it will be provided to you and is included in your tuition. Students enrolling in this graduate certificate program are not eligible for financial aid.

As a student in this certificate program, our partnership with the DMI provides you with a DMI membership and access to additional resources and content while you pursue your certificate.
Our curriculum aligns with and features DMI content that prepares you to sit for the DMI exam to earn dual credentials—the DMI Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) and the AMA PCM® in Digital Marketing. The fee for the three-hour exam, administered through DMI, is included in your tuition.
