Meet the Faculty of the UW Digital Marketing Graduate Certificates

Courses in the Digital Marketing Management and Digital Marketing Analytics graduate certificates are developed and taught by University of Wisconsin faculty who bring a range of professional and academic experience in marketing. 

The certificate programs are a partnership between UW Online Collaboratives and UW-La Crosse and UW-Parkside.


Meet the Faculty

Pam Culver | UW-La Crosse

Professional headshot of UW Digital Marketing faculty member Pam Culver. Pam Culver holds an MBA from Loyola University and a BBA in Marketing and International Business from Baylor University. Pam is an experienced educator with significant practitioner experience in marketing, graphic design, and digital marketing. In 1996, Pam founded Gathering Waters Design, a marketing agency that provides marketing strategy, design, and implementation services to mid-sized manufacturing businesses throughout Wisconsin. Her services include marketing consulting, digital and graphic design, and social media marketing. As the agency principal, Pam is an effective project manager, coordinating the activities of diverse internal and external team members, managing client relationships, and achieving organizational objectives.

Pam is also a seasoned educator, teaching undergraduate marketing and management courses since 2011. In 2017, Pam was instrumental in developing a robust digital marketing associate degree program and many of the courses in the curriculum. Given her continued work as a practitioner and educator, Pam is on the leading edge of the various digital tools, techniques, technology, and project management skills required to succeed in digital marketing management. Pam’s abundance of experience and knowledge in digital marketing management is an asset to the UW Digital Marketing Graduate Certificate program, and students will greatly benefit from her knowledge and expertise.

Ken Graham, PhD | UW-La Crosse

Dr. Ken Graham is a tenured Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he also serves as Academic Director for the Digital Marketing Graduate Certificate program. With a PhD in Marketing from Mississippi State University, Dr. Graham’s academic career is distinguished by his commitment to high-impact teaching practices. His research focuses on the intersection of consumer-brand relationships, digital marketing strategies, and technology adoption, which has been widely disseminated at national academic conferences and in academic journals, including the Journal of Innovation Management, Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing, Marketing Education Review, and Industrial Marketing Management.

In addition to his academic work, Dr. Graham brings extensive industry experience, having served in leadership roles in consumer bank marketing, managing multi-million-dollar budgets and spearheading marketing strategies across digital and traditional marketing channels. His entrepreneurial background as the owner of a boutique ad agency also enriches his applied knowledge, providing practical insights to his students.

Dr. Graham’s teaching portfolio includes courses in digital marketing, international marketing, business-to-business marketing, and marketing management, consistently earning high evaluations from students. His commitment to integrating real-world applications into the classroom prepares students for the complexities of modern business. As an editor of two forthcoming volumes on experiential and community-engaged learning in business education, Dr. Graham continues to contribute significantly to the scholarship and practice of marketing education.

Raghava Gundala, PhD | UW-Parkside

Professional headshot of UW Digital Marketing faculty member Dr. Raghava Gundala.Dr. Raghava R. Gundala is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He earned his PhD in Business Administration from Berhampur University and his MBA and Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce from Andhra University. 

Dr. Gundala currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in marketing. His research interests are teaching and learning in marketing, emphasizing student-centered teaching strategies, global marketing, marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and new product development.

Terry McGovern, DBA, DM | UW-Parkside

Professional headshot of UW Digital Marketing faculty member Dr. Terry McGovern. Dr. Terry McGovern earned two doctorates, his Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of South Florida’s Muma School of Business and a Doctorate of Management from the University of Phoenix’s School of Advanced Studies. He also holds an MHS from Providence University, an MS in Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a BA from the University of Iowa. He has taught at Iowa State University, the United States Air Force Academy, National Defense University, Clarke University, and now with the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Dr. McGovern’s areas of expertise include professional development, strategy, and leadership. He is an award-winning case research writer and was named a North American Case Research Association Lawrence Fellow for 2019. 

His doctoral dissertations involved field experiments using academic digital badges, and he examined executive development in the US Air Force. He has taught a wide range of courses including operations management, professional ethics, strategic planning, organizational behavior, global business, and leadership development courses at the graduate and undergraduate level, in various delivery formats, including face-to-face, blended, and online. Dr. McGovern served for 20 years as a US Air Force officer in the areas of nuclear missile operations, satellite operations, and staff positions including speech writer, faculty member, and director of an enterprise-level research cell while stationed in the Pentagon.
